Stephanie Holbert, MS, LAT, ATC graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 1996, with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science. She obtained her athletic training certification from the National Athletic Trainer's Board of Certification in June of 1996.  She completed her Master's of Exercise Physiology in 2002, also from UNCG.  North Carolina implemented licensure for athletic training in 1999, and she has been a licensed athletic trainer since that time.  She also completed an A.S. degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Guilford Technical Community College in 2010.

She has spent the majority of her career working with high school level athletics, but also has experience with professional sports, including soccer, gymnastics, volleyball, as well as collegiate basketball. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing therapeutic exercise programs, both for prevention and recovery from injury.  She has spent almost ten years coordinating and supervising the athletic training coverage of 3 area high school along with various communitys events, including 5Ks, collegiate basketball tournaments (including ACC and NCAA), and cycling events.   Other primary work duties included rehabilitation of othopeadic patients (both surgical and non-surgical) at a large orthopeadic practice in Greensboro, NC, which she continues to enjoy on an as needed basis.

She enjoys the challenges that athletic training brings, and enjoys finding unique treatment solutions to meet each individuals needs.  No injury or person are exactly the same, and treatments are tailored to each athletes individual situation.  Manual therapy is a strength and special interest for Stephanie, as well as therapeutic exercise to compliment stretching and joint mobilizations.

In her free time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her young family (both 2 legged and 4 legged varieties) as well as various outdoor activities, reading and personal developement activities.  As a previous collegiate athlete herself, she enjoys staying fit and involved in overall health/wellness activities.  She is always striving to learn more about nutrition and how to implement the right nutrition to aid the healing process.
